Tessa and I have 4 cats; Timothy , Paddington , Tabitha and Josie . And now we also have 3 kittens; Oliver, Peter and Rupert

Tim, Paddy and Tabby (as they are usually known) are brother and sisters. They were born of a wild mother in a demolition site in 1988. We had them from kittens, so they don't have much wildness in them. We inherited Josie from our neighbours when they moved away and Josie came back.

The kittens were born in 1996, near where Tessa works. They and their mother were caught by a cat charity and Tessa and I agreed to look after them until they were tame enough to be re-homed. Needless to say we were successful at taming them, but less so at letting them be re-homed. As a result we now have 7 cats!

Timothy, who was in the wild the longest, is very good at catching fast moving objects. Luckily he doesn't often exercise his hunting skills. He often sleeps on our bed and is not shy to wake John when he thinks it's breakfast time!

Here is an old picture of Tim on top of the fridge. He's also made his bed in the airing cupboard - and the boiler until it got too hot for him!

Tim is definitely the Top cat and isn't afraid to stand his ground against the dogs.

Tim gave us a scare last week. He went missing all week and we were starting to think that we might never see him agian. However he wandered in on Friday night, hungry but otherwise OK! Don't do that to us Tim!

Paddington is a friendly little cat. She spends quite a bit of time outdoors, but can often be found in the kitchen sleeping. She's more lively than Tabby, but not as aggresive as Tim

Here's Paddington (on the left) with her sister, Tabby, in a dog bed!

Tabby is the dopiest of the siblings, and definitely the bottom cat in the pecking order. She thinks she's caught a bird when she finds a feather!

I sometimes think of her as "Benny" in Top Cat (Boss Cat).

She spends most of her time indoors - often perched on the window sill, looking at life from a safe distance.

Here's one cat that's not been let out of the bag!

And here's Tabby waiting patiently for her Christmas present...

Josie is a very cute looking dark brown cat. She has very soft fur and seems very docile. We took Josie in when she made her way back here after her owners moved away from next door. Initially we had some problems with the other cats, until Josie established herself in the pecking order.

Oliver is very appropriately named. Every meal time he's meowing away as if he's never been fed, as if he's saying "Can I have some more please?".

When Oliver was young he was very shy and as a result I haven't got any good photos of him as a kitten. Here is a slightly older picture of Oliver. He looks a little unhappy to me - perhaps that's because he hasn't been fed in the last few minutes!.

Peter is a real cute looking cat. I call him Peter Poppit, and it seems to suit him. Peter has grown quite a bit since the photo below was taken and he's lost a bit of his cuteness.

Rupert is Tessa's favourite kitten. She thinks that he looks and behaves as though he has Siamese in him.
